I believe that people should have to earn their money as well. However, do you propose to put the unemployed into a gas chamber or what. Additionally, taking your belief to the extreme you as an individual should pay for all your children's education otherwise you are a welfare recipient from childless couples and singles. the same goes for services provided by the government. So what I believe is that the strong must help the weak, just like it says in the bible which many of the folks here spout but ignore in their acts. The great Christian republican ethic that defies everything christianity stands for when it comes to deeds and acts as they relate to others. Seems the Democrats are much more Christiam these days. Whatever happened to compassionate conservatism?
