ie. You want Bush to lead you where you want to go.

I'm looking for economic direction from the Bush administration, not more nonsense of how the recent tax cut is going to pump new life into the economy.

The Clinton Bear Market is now 18 months old, having started well before the presidential campaign season last year. The "Clinton Plan" which caused it was to raise taxes. The Bush plan is to lower them back down. The liberals used what little political capital they had left to preserve the Clinton folly, so the tax cut-which will have to be defended-will take longer to undo the damage of the Clinton Bear market.

What is needed now is to declare the $160 billion "Social Security surplus" the danger that it is and use it to cut marginal tax rates across the board. But the liberals and their lap dog media have once again promoted public ignorance and made it politically almost impossible to do without raising the fanatical class envy arguments.

So we will continue, for now, with Clinton's bear market and recession, and historians will gaze in awe on that corrupt president's near destruction of the long-term Reagan boom that has been so durable for the last 20 years.
