I agree that we don't have a dispute with many of the people of Afghanistan. But doesn't an attack on a country's political leaders constitute an attack on the country?

Most disturbing are the recent polls. Only 52% support a prolonged war on terrorism. Only 66% support a multi year campaign. There are Americans who vote that we shouldn't respond militarily.

I think most Americans have lived their entire lives under the blessings of peace with the belief that it is the norm. Not true, this is an overwhelmingly dangerous world. Peactime ideology is slow to turn. Too much hand holding and victimization of the enemy will be our undoing.

Unfortunately, I don't think Americans will have the right 'mindset' until millions more are lost to evil. If we don't unite to end terrorism while we have this small window in history we will pay a much greater price years to come.
