the question is this months from the bottom? I dont think it is. I think there is still one major move down. People will pretend this war doesnt have deep economic repracations. Until they accept that there will be no bottom.

That's true. The bulls after the '74-'75 recovery through the '82 bottom were weak and short-lived. It was essentially a range bound market, though many energy stocks and some selected techs did well. In a very general sense, though, you would have done well buying ANYTIME in the '74-'82 period...provided you held through untill '87 or beyond.
