Let's see if 984 can hold for a DAY in this downtrend....

It will if that's the level where the corporate buyers decide again to enter. They've got a lot of dry powder left to blast a few bears late in the day.

Vi, it held. Looks like the corporates are gun shy, though. Either that, or they didn't bring big enough guns.

BTW, CNBC reported before the open that traders were saying they were executing orders for corporates late yesterday and that's where the buy volume was coming from.
