You were not initiating a respectful conversation; you were venting your personal anger at the airlines for putting people out of business... which later you revealed meant you. You insulted me several times during a PM that began respectfully but grew increasingly aggressive. It was completely unrelated to my brief posts about the airlines, and was very upsetting to receive in the wake of an emotional and tragic day for all of us and that is why I responded that I was placing you on PM ignore. You know nothing about me, or my husband's position, or my own views on AA. My only public posts about the airlines---two in number, i think-- were objecting to some posted opinions I had seen on some threads that stated a hope that the airlines involved would "suffer". I thought that was offensive at the time and I still do. I also stated my own opinion that the failure of the airline industry would be devastating for the economy. I still do. I see the "bailout" as necessary for the country, regardless of other factors. And lastly, I said that airline management was grieving deeply and they are. I know nothing about the details of airline management, I made no pretense of doing so, I indicated that I had no wish to argue with you on that basis, yet you continue to personalize your issues in your posts. I thought your comments this morning were again personal and inappropriate. I understand that you are writing from your own viewpoint and pain, but I do not believe that this excuses the disparaging nature of your remarks about my family. Your tirades about American Airlines are certainly yours to make; remarks about me and my family are not only hurtful but irrelevant. I am proud of my husband who, regardless of your opinion, does place his customers first, who wept over lives lost, and has worked long exhausting hours this past week to get people home again. I am proud to be with American Airlines, and of the pilots and attendants who got right back into the air, and I wept unashamedly when I saw that first silver jet in the sky after days of silence. So please post your personal anger to someone else; I really have no stomach for it.
