Really Nadine. Has anyone actually READ what I have written? Or is it so difficult to understand? You are putting words in my mouth left and right. I never suggested right of return to Israel. Never suggested unilateral withdrawal to the Green Line. For Chrissakes Nadine, go back and read the source post! I know you are not that lazy!

My goal: DESTRUCTION of Israel's enemies. Appeasement it is not. It is removing the vaneer of oppression. When they have a state, it is no longer a struggle against oppression, it is an act of war by an aggressor state.

If we want to talk about appeasement, then we continue with the status quo. Don't rock the boat. Do whatever is immediately necessary to prevent war. THAT is appeasement, and THAT is what we have on the ground NOW.

Am I clear enough? Create the Palestinian State in order to DESTROY IT and those who support the violence against Israel. No more pussyfooting around. But that won't happen. Too many "but... but" people around. All talk, no action, and another generation of conflict.

Derek

re: Camp David

<<< Just before leaving for the Washington summit Barak said “It is my main goal in these upcoming negotiations to guarantee the safety of the citizens of the state of Israel while keeping within the red-lines this government has marked for itself. They are:

separation between the Palestinians and Israelis
refusal to return to the 1967 borders
a unified Jerusalem under Israeli jurisdiction
refusal to accept responsibility in the matter of the [Palestinian] refugees

Any observer with a basic understanding of fairness and politics can see that Barak’s posture, although it might sit well with Israel’s opposition parties, will not fly in the real world. >>>
