<smallpox, which they may have already obtained from North Korea or Iraq>

Well, I'm partly protected, having been vaccinated [though I hear the effects will have pretty much worn off].

But smallpox can come back and bite the person who releases it. I would not want to be a Moslem in crowded Egypt if smallpox is back in business.

If they release smallpox, they'll lose. The USA and other competent countries will instantly create vast rates of vaccination and the epidemic would be brief, if brutal.

People would have to avoid travel, contact and offices full of people. Telecommunications would get a huge boost [buy Globalstar and CDMA!!! - all roads lead to QUALCOMM]. Zones free of smallpox would exclude any visitors [until quarantine was over].

Smallpox doesn't have wonderful vectors for transmission and is easily stopped by vaccinating people. But not in Indonesia, Egypt, Iraq [oh, I wonder if they have been vaccinated - that would be a big warning], Pakistan etc. The Moslem world is most vulnerable. So you can forget about smallpox [unless they really are mad and want to see the Moslem population dramatically reduced].

This conversation could get morbid.

Disclosure: I have a very fertile imagination.

They scored the most amazing jackpot possible with the attack on the WTC.

While shopping for groceries earlier in the day and about to reach into the very public, help yourself type bakery case for our usual allocation of muffins the thought struck me, what if someone sprinkled these bakery goods with cyanide?

smallpox, which they may have already obtained from North Korea or Iraq.

I highly doubt it.. That's tantamount to unleashing pandora's box upon the whole world, including muslims.

Due to the contagious nature of the virus, it would spread throughout the un-innoculated world, including the rather unsanitary and crowded middle east.

No... they will stick to stuff they can control, and we was stated, creates a limited, but dangerous, nuisance.
