NO WHERE NEAR AS ANGRY AS THE AMERICAN PEOPLE

Well, probably many in the ME are, and have been for a long time, but its their leadership that lie to them to whip up the hate.

My first reaction to your comment quoted above was "yeah, thats for sure"; and my second reaction was "and they don't have the power that the US has via the military has for retribution".

But that's not quite true, through terrorism they have some power over us that we do not have and won't have over them. Yeah.

The battle has become democracy vs thugocracy. How to win that one...

At this particular moment, I could care less how mad they are. They are NO WHERE NEAR AS ANGRY AS THE AMERICAN PEOPLE.

Excellent post and I believe your feelings are shared by many. Americans I believe would have remained more placid if September 11 had been a one-time event, but now that this is continuing the furious anger is beginning to build...

The terrorists and their sponsors obviously spent too much time reading the Koran and bombing manuals instead of an occasional glance at a history book. The Germans and Japanese once made the same mistake. You see, when terrorists and outlaw states run by dictators threaten and attack, they can always make an about-face and terminate hostilities quickly, but when a democracy such as ours is forced into a war, turning back before complete victory is not going to happen.

Ahhhh....I see I touched a sore nerve.

Calm down please. I really didn't mean to ignite anything there.

It was just an opinion. Take it or leave it. Don't raise your blood pressure over it....please <smile>

And no tongue in cheek here...
