Eric, <I think AMD will be a screaming buy again in about nine months to a year when it will be trading at $7 or so per share and the Mallet family promises a guaranteed triple in the stock price.>

Triple from $7 is a big accomplishment?

Or is that your point? ;-)

Erik,

re: Neither Intel nor AMD won this round-- AMD will still get to fight next round, and Intel is running marginally above break-even-- the consumer of cpus was the big winner.

Intel won. I know it's hard to accept, but even you have to admit, that Intel is selling the f------- processors.

And AMD is losing X$'s on everything they sell. So "marginally above break-even" makes AMD's loss of the business look like an even more pathetic failure.

John

McMannis bought back into Intel at an even HIGHER cost - $100 pre-split ($50 post split).

So he is deeply under water.

But not to worry - his AMD holdings are much larger than his Intel - and as you know - AMD is doing swimmingly well !
