In early 1996 - and the amounts were small since AMD merged with Nexgen, they didn't buy them. AMD did take accounting charges for costs associated with the merger. "

I checked the 1996 and 1997 quarterly reports - and I found NO MENTIOn of goodwill writedowns from the NEXGEN purchase.

Maybe you can post them ?
