If that's not the pot calling the kettle black...

"Rambus lied to the memory industry when they repeatedly let it be known that they had no SDRAM (and DDR) patents."

No, Rambus stated that the technology the industry was using was lifted from RDRAM technology. At the time, Rambus had their own patents on SDRAM that were not part of the JEDEC standard. The tech was different than what JEDEC was trying to do. JEDEC just kept getting closer and closer to Rambus' tech until they ultimately infringed. Rambus wasn't obligated to disclose an application or patent that JEDEC would ultimately infringe, were they?

In the screwed up Richmond courtroom that's what Desmarais convinced the jury and the judge. Read the transcripts, bonehead.

Believe what you want, and keep spewing the party-line. It's really all you can do at this point. Let's see what happens in Germany.

Samsung is not giving up on RDRAM, nor is Intel. Both parties have plenty of plans for it, along with many, many other companies.

And...
The SerDes market is potentially a lot bigger than the memory market, friend. And this is just the beginning. Great to see you did the math on the TranSwitch deal. I hope you do the same when Rambus signs Cisco, or Juniper.

Good luck to you. Glad I could justify your paycheck for a little while.

IW

P.S. You've made up a great story in your head about Intel's plan for DDR and RDRAM. Just keep thinking that way if it makes you feel better.
