BMW, <I am concerned that AMD's model numbers will collapse>

In all honesty, I think you are hoping that the idiotic scheme will collapse, just like I am. "MHz sells" might be controversial in itself, but "QuantiSpeed" is just plain nonsense.

It's a lot like saying you are "concerned" that the Taliban will collapse and bin Laden will get his just desserts. It implies that you are hoping for the contrary.

wbmw,

Like I told Tony, I am concerned that AMD's model numbers will collapse if they rate them so far in advance without considering IPC improvements from Intel.

I am very grateful for your and Tenchusatsu's "concern" about this hypothetical scenario.

I am going to reciprocate with my concern about a collapse of P4 (and Intel) if they fail to catch up with performance of Athlon, and if selling empty MHz fizzles.
