I know what he means but if Northood is 5% faster IPC wise than Williamette the AMD modelhertz numbers will be more in line...no?
I don't know if AMD planned it this way or now.

One thing to take from the presentation is that bulk 130nm based Thoroughbred is on about the same timing as Palomino was last year:

sampling: Q4
mobile shipping: Q1 2002
mobile really shipping: Q2 2001
desktop shipping: Q2 2002
desktop really shipping: October 2002?

I hope Palomino has 2 or 3 speed grades left - 1.8 GHz, (Model 2200+?)
