I have a friend working at McLeodUSA and he said they had been cutting costs to the bone there. As long as they have good base of customers, I'm sure they're fine in making interest payments and hopefully positive EBITDA in 2002. However with Ted Forstman and Chris Davis there, they're making me a bit nervous. They can pull another steal'em clean move on McLeodUSA. As for XO, I believe Ted pumped in about $1.5B before and now another $400M for 39% of the company that is almost there and good solid business and management. It's a steal for FL. It's hard not to have a skeptical eye on FL.
