Addi,

Have you ever read the Bible? let me quote you from just one or two of very many:
Blasphemy is punished by death - LEVITICUS XXIV #16:
"And he that blasphemeth the name of the Lord, he shall surely be put to death, and all the congregation shall certainly stone him"

or, the punishment of a city that has strayed from God:

DEUTERONOMY XIII #16:
"Thou shalt surely smite the inhabitants of that city with the edge of the sword, destroying it utterly and all that is therein, and the cattle thereof, with the edge of the sword."

So God was not that loving and forgiving in those days was He?

Again, and I am getting tired of repeating myself, the problem with Islam is not what the Koran is saying. The problem is the interpretations it is getting from the Mullahs etc. who are trying to establish the same rules of behavior that were set for the nomads of the deserts 1400 years ago.

What I am saying is that the educated Muslims of the world must take the responsibility to prevent these Mullahs from taking charge, and confine them to the deserts where they belong.

You are absolutely right that some Islamic countries are currently controlled by these nuts (at least we have one less now in Afghanistan). Iran is probably the most dangerous one, as it is closer to owning nuclear capability. I hope our government realizes that Iran is the next potential world terrorist haven and takes steps to stop them.

This is what I think, and there are many others that think so.

GDA

Here's a provocative post by Teacher317 on a thread at freerepublic.com

____________________________________________

We're being asked, almost daily, to understand the Islamic faith, and feel their pain as good little Clintonistas. This thread discusses yet another article on that very topic. Here's my reply:

I understand...

I understand that those who murdered 6000 civilians, including women and children, did so with the belief that Islam was being promoted by the act.

I understand that millions of Muslims celebrated... for days... when they heard that some Muslim had caused America great pain.

I understand that the Islamic faith has been used to brainwash millions of children into believing that murder-suicide earns a guaranteed spot in heaven complete with 70+ virgins to defile at their pleasure.

I understand that the Koran advocates lying, raping, and killing those who are not of the proper faith.

I understand that there are Muslim gang rapes of white girls (13-18 years old) in France, Denmark, Australia, and Norway... because they are 'unclean', this is also acceptable in Allah's eyes.

I understand that Muslims have been attacking and killing Americans in the name of Allah for well over a decade... for being Americans.

I understand that Muslims have been attacking and killing Christians world-wide in the name of Allah for well over a century.. for being Christian.

I understand that Muslims have been attacking and killing Jews in the name of Allah for well over a millennium... for being Jewish.

I understand that Muslims receive billions of dollars of aid from America in food, medicine, cash, and human capital annually... with nothing asked in return.

I understand that many Muslims have been very willing to kill their own, including children and spouses, to promote their agenda.

I understand many Muslims are calling for more 'moderate' Muslims world-wide to join in the attack on America.

I understand that those same Muslims are anxious to start the third World War in the expectation that the Muslim faith will rule the world when it is done.

I understand that Muslims have insisted the civilians are viable military targets in their current Jihad.

I understand that people are being beheaded by Muslims for refusing to join the Jihadists.

I understand that Muslims are NOT marching in the streets to decry the bombings as barbaric.

I understand that NO Muslims are calling for the rapes and violence to stop.

I understand that there are common broadcasts over the airwaves and lessons in the classrooms calling for the extermination of an entire religion, and NO Muslims will stand or march in protest.

I understand that NO Muslims wear their feelings of (supposed) sadness and guilt on their sleeves as they expect Americans to do.

I understand that Muslim clerics are NOT calling for Jihadists to be turned in by their brethren to face justice for their actions.

I understand that it has been a few hundred years since there were any large-scale crimes committed for the sake of Christ by Christians.

I understand that when some whacko does hurt others (usually their own followers) in God's name or glory (or whatever odd reason, like UFO's inbound), they are immediately decried as a whacko, and imprisoned, fined, and humiliated out of viability... by Christians!!

I understand that Muslims are NOT willing to accept the fact that many people are now scared of anyone who looks something like those who would murder 6000 civilians with a box-cutter.

I understand that I may not be able to reason with a Muslim thanks to my emotional state at the current time.

I understand that I have no interest in trying to understand those who would kill women and hide behind children.

I understand that this could mean the currently undeclared war could be a little 'messy' (*gasp!* a messy war?!?) if everyone felt the same as I.

Please understand that, frankly, I don't give a darn right now, Scarlett. Those who will help us erase as many terrorists from the face of the earth as we can (because we can) will be spared. Those who do not... won't. Fair, easy to understand, justified, and all I am able to give right now. Check back with me when those 6000 families are no longer traumatized.

Addi,

"It is sort of like characterizing President Clinton's affairs with Monika Lewinsky in the Oval office as '... well... he is a man afterall, and his actions were meant to ease his tensions!' While nothing wrong with that type of "spin" it is misleading and not telling the truth."

Now that's funny!

Ever think about comedy as a second career?

God Bless,
IGIT

So you think no one should ever fight against anyone? I guess you believe the "war on terrorism" is evil.

Sometimes fighting an aggressor to defend your freedom and your faith is not only acceptable but is righteous.

Just my opinion.
