Wow! I had MacAfee but always had trouble downloading DAT diles. I downloaded AVG as you showed in your last post and Lo and behold it found a virus my other virus checker never knew was there.

Thanks!

AVG is now my virus checker of choice.

TC and others using AVG.

Before I do the final instal, sometimes it helps to ask a few questions first. I believe you use Zonealarm and does it work well with it. Some antivirus checkers don't handle firewalls too well. As well, I have to use Outlook Express at present for my cable modem and am using 5.5. In their FAQ there are some problems related to this issue, and I wonder if anyone has had any problems in that regard. They mention not keeping anything in the inbox, but don't suggest where else to keep it. Also they suggest compressing files which I didn't really understand. As well I take it I should turn off the modem when doing the install as turning off all the programs except explorer and systray will turn off Zonealarm as well.

Thanks for any assistance. I know how belker feels as I have been in that situation, just want to try and avoid it.

Regards

Bob

Thanks for the link. Harold sure is happy with AVG. Given Norton AV and ZoneAlarmPro, do you think additional AVG would be compatible? Necessary? Beneficial?
