Isn't is fun to be able to laugh at losing a little bit of all this phony wealth that we were walloping around in, like a bunch of happy pigs in mud.

Well it wasn't much fun when my broker was hounding me with maintenance calls but thank God I survived with modest fortune intact. Let us be mindful of those who were less fortunate than us. I was actually the beneficiary of an earlier mistake. I had sold some Intel leap calls a couple of years back and as a result the dramatic drop in price had limited effect on my INTC equity. I learned a valuable lesson though about margin. I survived the greatest collapse in my lifetime with the tech disaster and it wasn't until we had the 9/11 disaster and fallout that margin finally got me and I took some losses. Goes to show that you just can't anticipate everything. I guess that's life. Oh well, I'm still standing and liquid so I guess I should count my blessings.

Best of luck to you.

I don't mean to be insouciant, but, if memory serves, didn't you dump ALL your was it CSCO at the exact top (well not exactly exact) of the market??? So you would add that back to determine the theoretical ending inventory?

:))))

there, by being down 85% from my 2000 highs!
