PD SOI is a huge disappointment. AMD will spend a lot of money to implement a technology that won't give them a lot of mileage. They should have waited for FD SOI, like Intel.

Intel had to race to .13 and outspend AMD 2 or 3 to 1 on a per CPU basis for FABs in order to tie the performance of AMD's .18 CPUs.

Where are you getting your information that Intel is outspending AMD on a per CPU basis
