Milo, if that happens, then all the CPU designers at AMD deserve one hell of a promotion, because they will have not only managed to outpace Intel, but also the rest of the entire CPU industry. And that doesn't make you just a little bit skeptical?

And if Hammer performs as the spread sheet we looked at earlier, then Intel is in deep shit. It's going to be interesting to see how the next 11 months pan out.

I think a dose of realism would be in order. Intel has been in deep shit on technology front roughly from the beginning of 2000 to about middle of 2001, but AMD could take only very limited advantage of it.
