Thanks for the excellent recap.
How's about jewelry retailers like Zales (ZLC)? Valuation looks reasonable but there is no catalyst to buy.

My wife has a bakery business and we're seeing a surging number of wedding cakes pre-ordered for the year. (The Chinese says people tend to get married more and divorced more in the year of the Horse! :-))

The Financial Accounting Standards Board is tossing around the idea of disclosure for internal intangible assets and that could have a real impact on the way an investor values a company.
