Pete, <They succeeded and took the time to get it right.> The jump from single-processor to 2-way is small compared to the jump from 2-way to 4-way and above. If it takes AMD this long to "get it right" as you say, think about how much time it will take for them to "get it right" with 4-way and 8-way. <Why don't you ask Intel why it took them so long to produce an 8 way chipset for the CPUs?> Well duh. Isn't that my point, that it will take AMD just as long, if ever, to get to 8-way SMP? Tenchusatsu
