Almost no gun owners view their guns as something to be used to rob a bank.

Then why do they rob banks with them? Are the bank robbers only leasing theirs'?

I have had several friends who were Swiss. They're whole take re these guns is very different.....its for the defense of their country, not to rob a bank. Its hard to explain the difference in perception.

Tim, please try to understand that not all gunowners are law abiding people.....there are a number who are bank robbers, drug dealers, murderers etc.

In Switzerland, they usually had rifles which were intended for defense should Switzerland get attacked...because Swit. is neutral always, they are very paranoid about getting attacked.

I stayed with some Swiss in Chur. In the house I stayed, both the father and the son had guns..they were locked away in the basement with their military uniforms. I understood that to be pretty typical.
