I was talking exclusively about Banias and I didn't think that it was targeted at market segments where multi-processor solutions made much sense.

Aha! So Banias will be the first notebook x86 processor designed for multiprocessing.

Couple of points:

-It does not mean you can't have both, on-die cache and mem. controller
-I doubt Banias will have SMP capability
-Didn't Intel stop providing SMP ability in desktop P4s? Or was it just the Socket-423
-what does hyperthreading have to do with anything, especially Banias?
