Well, if she knew right from wrong and willingly chose to do wrong, I would agree with you. As far as capital punishment goes, I do not believe in using it in cases where the person is not competent. By that, I mean minors, mentally retarded and "insane". Again, "insane" would have to meet the legal definition. Not wanting to execute people who meet those criteria has nothing to do with valuing their lives more than the victims and nor does it have anything to do with not wanting to protect other innocent people.

But, I will have a hard time taking you and your argument seriously until more women are held responsible for not protecting their children from abusive fathers. I would bet that there are a lot more children that have died at the hands of their fathers while the mothers have known that the children were at risk. Why didn't you take up this particular cause when it was the mothers who should be held responsible for the father's crimes? (by the standards that you have described on this thread).
