Teens having abortions is a greater problem among the middle and upper classes than among the poorer class.

greater by percentage not by numbers.

While things may not be perfect in "Leave it to Beaverland", there is a reason why that is where folks are moving too and Democratic run innercities are where they are running from. You'll NEVER be able to make a factbased case that there are more drugs and violence in middle/upperclass neighborhoods so let's stop with the, er, contrivance. As for abortions, they are NOT disruptive to a classroom which was if you remember, the topic.

Further more, your attempt to politicize this problem is, in my opinion, part of the problem and why I fear we'll never see resolution. The disserved children deserve better than the crap we give them.

Statistic I saw last week indicated just the opposite: Evangelical Christian parents were more likely to get divorced than when both partners were atheists.

Don't make your economic decisions based upon such faulty analysis. This is a conclusion, not a suitable substitute for the facts, much less the methodology used in the study. You know what they say about studies......

"Your attempted analogy of overlaying "healthy society" with those who voted for Bush 15 months ago is simplistic and contrived"

But I'll bet it's true. This comparison is particularly meaningless: "Evangelical Christian parents were more likely to get divorced than when both partners were atheists"

How many "evangelical" couples do you know? I know Jim and Tammy Fay could not make it, but I think Doug was referring to suburbia in general, not evangelical ministaries. When making comparisons to national populations you should use something more than a statistically miniscule part of the population. Otherwise your premise looks "simplistic and contrived"

I'm glad to hear you referring to abortions as problems flapjack. You are being down right sensible with your views on parenting and abortion today.

Food for thought. If the left did not portray the killing of unborn children as an inalienable right that is as precious as free speech then these young suburbians would not use abortion as birth control, which I know for sure happens a LOT.

Abortion is a problem, you are definately right about that.

"Teens having abortions is a greater problem among the middle and upper classes than among the poorer class." Got any links that can back that statement up? I doubt it.
