The felony murder rule can have some pretty strange results. Trying to entangle how someone "feels" about the officers in the case you mention, has nothing to do with whether a law makes sense, or is close to the kind of justice we want meted out. "Feelings" make lousy justice. "Feelings" are what drive lynch mobs.

You are unclear on the law, and what's worse, you have no respect for it.

The man was innocent of the crime of which he was convicted and for which he was executed.

He was framed. The assistant DA who helped frame him knew the facts and suppressed them and ran for DA.

You're comfortable with that sort of "enforcement" of the law, fine.

It's base imo to use the memory of the dead officers as though you were their champion when its delightful to you that their murderer got rewarded and a framed man got executed in his stead.
