We were in Viet Nam as advisors from 57, escalated the war in 65, moved it illegally into Cambodia and Laos in 70 and finally gave up in 75. Eighteen years is not quitting; it's conceding a lost cause.

Which "we" are you referring to??

Not everyone in the U.S. quit.....only the temper-tantrum throwing, drug-snorting war protesters.

It's difficult to conduct a foreign war when large numbers at home are creating anarchy.
