One of the guys in my office held EPN long and ENE short, mostly because we were dealing with both companies on transactions and he didn't like working with ENE (so it was blind luck mostly). He walked away pretty darn happy even after that EPN wasn't the El Paso Energy he was trying to go long on (double blind luck). There are only 2 people I know that appreciate short selling, one is a professional trader. The rest of the poeple think I'm crazy when I talk about it.
