The only idea I heard from you, other than the preference for the private sector is that tradition holds the answer. That's not selling ideas, that's protectionism for old ideas. The sellers of ideas are the change agents.

I do not think that the marketplace has primacy, except in the sense of preferring voluntary transactions, in most cases.

Your conservatism sounds, er, fusty. My version is appropriately sensible and solid...and also alive. What's not to like about a political philosophy based on voluntary transactions among free people?

I think real conservatism has ideas to sell, as well.....

And what kinds of conservatism are there other than "real" conservatism?

And what new ideas are being sold by the real conservatives? A couple of examples, please.
