The crux of the money issue is that without the flow of funds, training stops, suicide bombing loses its subsidy, with the families extolling the virtues of child #5 of 6 who then get $25k, plus write-ups on the paper and full honors ceremonies. Take out the huge payment for these atrocities, and they'll fade. You won't get training or bombers in the numbers they have now. It sounds cold, but religious justification isn't enough, it requires cash to perpetuate this insanity, imo. To the extent the US has any influence in these petrodollars and foreign "aid" to terrorist-supporters, is the extent to which that support should stop. I'll guess it's 2/3 of the dollars swimming around over there. Stop buying M.E. oil and stop the military and financial support, and the air goes out of the local warlords, who hand out millions in cash. The Saudis alone would be quickly bankrupt w. even a slight reduction in US petrodollars, due to their high debt and corrupt mispending of decades. That alone would remove billions from terrorists selling protection to Saudis.

Remember also the previous link of the CIA through U. of Nebraska-Omaha who wrote bloody warfare books to desensitize schoolchildren and teach about weaponry and killing. These were sent by the millions to Afgan gradeschools by U.S. dollars. The suicide bombing epidemic did not happen in a vacuum. It began to be an offensive strategy in the 1970's and early 80's in the Carter and Reagan administration. That's a change from previous millenia where such acts of "martyrdom" were defensive, not as walking weapons of offense. Supposedly the Nebraska manuals were to teach children resistance to the Soviets, and if this generation accepts bloody violence and apocalyptic death on its way toward killing Americans, well that's merely "blowback", as in "oh, sorry about that, we couldn't predict it." Any average American citizen would have predicted damn Nazi fascist spooks doing such anti-human acts would have condemned a generation. Not to mention putting a target on every American. Coincidentally, I'm looking at "The Beast Reawakens" by Lee, which talks about WWII spooks gaining post-Cold War political power publiceye.org free.freespeech.org
