The Falasha (black Ethiopian Jews) were taken to Israel awhile back. Most of the Cochin Jews (who took on the racial characteristics of the surrounding Indians) have emigrated to Israel. There is no racial bar to admission to Israel. The qualification is to be a member of an historically Jewish community.

We will probably continue to muck around with it though. I offered a proposition a few months ago. No one was much interested. It has to do with a common interest that both sides have and that is religiously based and more profound than their short term grievances. It would require the designation of Jerusalem as an ancient and universally Holy site. The construction/reconstruction of a universal site of worship...(Solomon's temple/mosque/church/....). Betcha some day we get there.

Don't sell 'em arms; give them to them. All they want. Let 'em shoot it out until there's one man left standing. Then go in and kill him and start over. Israel is a Zionist (race-based and European, largely) state. My understanding is that scientifically "race" is a meaningless term- -it can't be defined. The only race that can really be spoken of is the human race. That being the case (if it is), how can you assert Israel is race-based? The problem is that as long as there are only BLACK slaves, the problem is divided along racial lines. And it took us a long, very bloody war to settle that issue. The bloodiest in US history. We should step back or hammer them both into submission. That's what I said. An imposed solution. Israel and the Arab states in the area would have no chance against a UN force with both the US and Europe involved and they know it. And it could include Jewels Jerusalem proposals.
