Re <<, I don't see why Saddam isn't trying his worst to get his hands on a nuke>>

I am sure he is, but I am curious if he openly announced it.

Albert also said Iran openly announced it which I KNOW is not true.

Re <<I see lots of regulars on the AMD threads making money shorting the stock. Kind of a bittersweet victory, I guess, shorting the company they've been advocating for so long. But hey, this is an investment forum, and why shouldn't everyone help each other make money?>>

Bitterseet? LOL Gain is my friend, loss is my enemy. I don't give two shits about AMD or Intel.

This year I have only traded 5 stocks, AMD, INTC, EMLX BRCD and TYCO. I am only perfect on INTC, 7 for 7.

And back on topic (or off-topic, depending on your "frame of reference"), I see lots of regulars on the AMD threads making money shorting the stock. Kind of a bittersweet victory, I guess, shorting the company they've been advocating for so long. But hey, this is an investment forum, and why shouldn't everyone help each other make money?

Tenchusatsu, they're shorting the stock, not the company. A stock will reflect an industry's slow periods and go down....why not make money both ways, long and short. That doesn't mean the company is bad or that the investor is negative on AMD. Its simply taking advantage of the whims of the marketplace.

BTW I think shorting is much harder to play than playing it long.
