Mani, <as justifiable as it might sound for someone who has only being following it since sep 11th,>

As someone who has only been following it since 9/11, how do I separate the truth from the B.S.?

First consider this, in many cases Arabs are not allowed to purchase land in Israel, yet any Jew from any country can automatically become an Israeli citizen and own any piece of land

You can argue it is unfair, but it simply cannot justify barbaric Palestinian actions of murdering innocent civilians.

Sharon is documented war criminal.

What is Arafat? Frankly, I see absolutely zero difference between a "war criminal" and a "terrorist". They're both the lowest of the low.

I agree that Israel's actions present no path to peace, and for that reason, I think Bush's position is a positive thing, in spite of the fact it appears inconsistent with his "Bush Doctrine". I think he recognizes it is a different kind of conflict.

Mani,

Re: " ... you are living under occupation and Israel keeps shooting rockets up your ass."

Mani, your "bias" is showing.

I live in northern San Diego, about 45 minutes to the Mexican border. If we had people coming over the border, blowing themselves up in public places and killing people, and those people were being trained and encouraged by the government of Mexico, I would support a decisive military situation. Things are different with Israel and Palestine.

Mani, things aren't really so different. In your hypothetical situation the Mexicans would not be blowing themselves up to kill Americans if they did not perceive some injustice. The Palestinians also perceive injustice. Most of the rest of your post is about how the perceived injustice is actually a real injustice. I even agree that there is and has been some real injustice from Israel's side, although I probably don't think it is quite as bad as you do and I think there is more justification for it then you seem to think. But even if I accepted your version of how unjust Israel is it wouldn't make it any different from your Mexican suicide bomber scenario.

Tim

re: So we have Jews move to Israel for religious and philosophical reasons from all over the world. But Israel cannot handle this immigration so it needs new areas. So it needs another war.
wow, what a pile of bs. Israel is an industrial nation and as such does need much of a territory.
re: A blatant and obvious racism aimed to have a Jewish only state.
how difficult would it be for me to buy land in Mecca. Are those Saudis racist or what?
