I suggest that Israel be 'unsigned' by the United Nations,

And then we can have the UN rescind the Treaty of Waitangi, and give New Zealand back to the Maoris

>>Since Israel only exists because of a United Nations edict [not to mention some terrorism by Zionists to end the British mandate], I suggest that Israel be 'unsigned' by the United Nations, which is the current fashion in international politics.<<

The whole ME exists because of UN edicts. Most Arab countries were created between the 1930's and 50's.

Pretty funny, Mq.-g-

I had been mulling over that suggestion, myself, so I am glad you made it.

What the UN giveth, can the UN taketh away? (Yeah, yeah, I know it was the League of Nations, but the UN is the successor to the League of Nations).

I am afraid that would be a multi-sided debate: in one corner, Kofi Annan telling Israel AND Palestine, in an avuncular tone of voice, "if you don't play nice, we'll take away your crayons."

In the second corner, Israel, with chutzpah far larger than its size, screaming, "no more Mr. Nice Guy!.Do you feel lucky, punk?"

In the third corner, Palestine -- not sure what the Palestinians are screaming at Mr. Annan, something about their big brothers cutting off everyone's oil.

In the fourth corner, Wolfowitz, Perle, Woolsey, DeLay, calling in air strikes to the UN building in Manhattan.

In the fifth corner, the American people, chanting "hell, no, we won't go."

In the sixth corner, the EU, lecturing everyone on multilateralism - well, this is multilateralism, how do you like it?
