I'm a bit puzzled about the definition of spam in the TOU's.

Do the posts have to be identical?
How many do there have to be?
I see that Dale Baker had 3 posts on May 3rd
regarding NFI. Do those count as spam?

Since Dale is apparently passionate on this
topic, I'm curious as to the actual criteria.

I imagine that nokomis was rather shocked to
have been booted over her posts.

I'd hate to see that happen to another
unwitting soul.

btw, here's No. 6 of the TOU's:

6. Starting a thread on a message board that has to do with a stock or stocks (any message found under such thread may be deleted without prior notice)

Does that actually mean that starting a stock thread
on SI is a violation of the TOU's?? huh?

Anyone care to clarify?

Looks to me like the TOU's need some revision
so that people will better understand what they're
agreeing to and when they are subject to sanction.

Probably a nice guy in real life ...

ROFLOL

Yeah right... And Nostradamus foresaw the Enron debacle too... LOL !

Anyone that gets bothered enough to be sending messages to the SI Fuherer just because someone gets a little enthusiastic about reviving his/her own thread, cannot possibly be nice guy period, let alone real life or not. [Worse yet, you say he does that more like 3 or 4 times a month.]

I've known my share of famous and outstanding people in my time during my lifetime and I find a common denominator as follows: The nicer they are, the humbler they are, regardless of fame and fortune. Usually the ones with their ego up their gaziga piper are the pretentious and intolerable jerks.

True it is that in the Internet ya never know when you are dealing with a jerk. I try to avoid them at all costs, thanks for the heads up !

I suppose there would always be someone in favor of Fascist governments too.

Ah ! yet another main feature of this Theater of the Absurd, aka SI
