<Bush and the media have scared the pants off the American people over the last few days.> IMHO, Bush is overreacting to the criticism put on him over the past week or so concerning his 'non-action' with information presented to him & his execs pre-911. I believe, all the American people wanted him to have done pre-911 was to order FURTHER/DEEPER/COORDINATED investigations based on the info he DID have -- NOT more basically useless continuous warnings --- as is being done now. OT Bush/Cheney/et.al. they are prepairing us to invade Iraq..... and any others that sponsor terrorism. making it clear it is "either them or us." Just read what people in NYC on 9/11 had to say: suite101.com with lines such as "A friend of mine said this morning that we should tell the Arab countries that the first "dirty bomb" detonated in this country will result in the following cities being bombed: Riyahd, Mecca, Medina, Tehran and Baghdad." Hopefully, the scare tactics work and the Arabs get to the peace table and accept a workable ME peace plan. Kirk

>>>there will be another attack at some point in time but do we have to hear it over and over and over<<< There are three factors at play here. 1) When and if an attack happens Bush and Cheney will say , "I told you so". 2) Bush, Cheney, and Ashcroft are trying to keep the country in a state of perpetual fear of the future. The more fear that is instilled into the general public the more leeway Ashcroft gets in trouncing our constitutional civil liberties. 3) By next Presidential election time he will try to convince the voters that only he is able to deter the terrorists.
