I truly believe that the drop in Dram is ONLY occurring because Micron is pooring the "you want to see how low we can afford to sell memory at" on.

ROFLMAO. How many quarters has MU made money in the last seven years? Five? they sure have a lot of control over pricing.

Hi, robert b furman.

If the board of director would take their pride and head out of their butts - and admit they've had it handed to them by the most efficient manufacturers globally (Samsung /Micron).The drop in Dram would never have occurred

I think it would be more useful to explain what caused the artificial runup in DRAM earlier in the year rather than look at the reasons for the return to market pricing.

My perspective is not that chips will never recover. They will recover as end demand recovers. I don't see any early signs of that as yet.

(At least Goldman Sachs agrees with me this morning)

Hi Bob,

My DRAM comment to AlM was mostly tongue in cheek. Nevertheless I do agree with most of the points made in your reply. Especially that MU is pissed with Hyundai.

There are still too many DRAM players. Seeing one less big guy can only be good for the industry.

Yes the sector will recover. And most likely when the masses least expect it. It has a habit of doing that.
