Perhaps we should connect ALL the dots and presuppose that Anthony got full value from his FBI bribes and learned about the upcoming attacks directly from the boys in blue. Isn't the Arizona FBI office in the New Mexico chain of command?

But somehow I suspect that is a pandora's box nobody is going to want to open.

Welcome to the new McCarthyism.

There seems to be this notion that anyone who was Muslim, like Elgindy,

Jeff that’s scary. I never liked Elgindy, never trusted him. I'd not be surprised if he paid off a FBI agent.

Implying he knew about 9/11 seems over the top unless there's some real evidence. Even though there's a "war" going on, now is the time to be extra vigilant about our rights.

I highly doubt even Elgindy's worst detractors would venture to say he
likely betrayed his country by profiting from his knowledge of a tragic event like 9/11.

1. What is his country? Does he still hold Egyptian citizenship?

2. Don't you think it's betraying the US to bribe federal agents, if it is established that he did this?

3. Don't you think it's betraying the US to manipulate the markets which are the heart of our capitalist economy, if it is established that he did this?

4. Didn't he do 2 and 3 for profit?

He is innocent until proved guilty. But if he is proved guilty, I consider his acts betrayal of the US for profit. So it wouldn't amaze me if somebody who betrays the US for profit in one manner would do so in another.

Why else would he have liquidated his childrens' accounts on September 10, and predicted a market melt-down, if it's determined that he did these thing?
