<<You obviously know little about financial markets. All major bottoms have been accompanied by huge fear and pessimism>>

God..ya gotta love that statement. Just what do you think has been going on for the past two years? <<gg>>

The thing about it is that I, as well as other ignorant posters, appreciate your vast knowledge about "financial markets", so much that to even doubt your prediction of the demise of the markets is sacrilege. George...please spare all of us peons your arrogant demeanor. You, nor I, haven't got a clue where the market is going.

But I do know one thing, you characters are sure providing lots of entertainment for us unknowledgeable posters and readers. Do you actually believe yourself?

Keep the comedy coming.

GSC - I thought that OPEC put the price of oil up in Oct 73 and there was the first use of an oil boycott the result of which was a massive tax on the Western World by OPEC and it associated gangsters.

The result of that huge transfer of Wealth from the West was massive inflation that took years to work out of the system. And that cuased the collapse of the markets.

What were interest rates and inflation during the 73 - 79 period?

OK I don't know much about markets but with all due repsect I do think that ultra high inflation is more of a factor than crap like 'we need real fear in order to make a good bottom'.

Best,

L
