Or maybe x86-64 dies off when people realize that 64-bits isn't needed on the desktop, and Intel already has a very successful solution for the enterprise with IA-64. Oh, wait - this is the AMD thread, and here the belief is that AMD can't possibly snatch Defeat from the jaws of Victory! Seems I've heard that phrase before....

Oh, Intel will come up with something amd when they do, AMD needs to be ready. Unless they can stay up on Intel for an extended period of time their stock will look like the same 'ole yo yo.
