add 4% to your losses in purchasing power

Oh? Has there been 4% inflation in the past few weeks? Since all my income, all my expenses, all my assets and all my liabilities are denominated in Dollars, I haven't lost a thing unless there's actually been a surge in the Dollar price of goods and services. And if prices have risen 4% in the last few weeks, then we should all buy retailers 'cause their margins just zoomed to the moon. ;-)

PS: Lost opportunity (having not bought Euros a few months ago) is not a loss in terms of wealth.
