Yeah, I find I only print a small fraction of the digital pics I take, but I can view the others on the PC and print them later if I want to.

The ink cost can add up pretty quickly as well, though, if you do print a lot of pics...

Your last point is actually the reason I'm finally buying a digital camera.
After years of kids wasting film on blurry shots, shots of their feet, hands, squashed bugs, etc., I've figured out that the savings we make on deleting those pictures on a digital camera (as opposed to paying for their development just to get the 6 I like) are worth the investment.

I'd say the same is true for this printing. I don't want every picture for printing purposes, and if I only print a select few anyway (which would be my plan), then paying a little more for the paper still allows me to save in total.

Until my kids figure out how to use the printer....

I think your wife's price is for double prints.

I don't think very many digital camera pictures ever get printed -- that's one of the attractions of a digital camera.
