tgp, Re: "The unknown, largely, is when the FED will get off it's fat a and put the next rate cut out there."

I really don't think that would help.

Ted, Re: <after today's economic numbers, there's a lot of talk re a double dip recession.>

That should have come as no surprise to anyone paying attention, IMO.

I guess what I really was asking......do you think we are in the dip right now? The Q3 outlook is grim but still some growth is expected during the quarter. I expect it will get worse than that before it gets better. Is that your expectation?

Re: <Any thoughts whether the double dip is priced into AMD's and INTC's stock?>

All that is known, and all that can be known at this time is priced into the stocks. The unknown, largely, is when the FED will get off it's fat a and put the next rate cut out there.

I'm not sure another rate cut will do much. For an example, I don't see how it will stimulate PC or car sales.......they're at zero % financing already. Because of an unusual confluence of events, I think the problem has become almost structural and will take some unusual measures to get things straightened out and back on track.

Why, so Real Estate can bubble more? Stocks in general have been ruined for a long while.
