Drain the swamp. Are you OK with the idea this means killing some snakes and gators? I am. Your post is as good a summary of what's needed in response to 9/11 as I've read in the last 12 months. Well, you didn't mention Pakistan, but that's a whole tragedy unto itself but could evolve into a mere horror story with cessation of Saudi funding.

And after we invade, we will give them a new set of despot rulers who will do exactly the same thing until they are deposed by yet another set, while the people remain poor, disenfranchised, unemployed, and undereducated.
