Underwater housings are available for many cameras, digital models included.

Just enjoy it. The selection process is at least half of the fun.

It's not only the owner's manual that's a problem. The menu system for the 995 is equally as abstruse. But as far as unassisted (no add-on lenses) macros are concerned, the Nikon Swivels are the Kings. Note that I've made that claim before, and it has gone unchallenged, even though the members of this thread are unabashedly brand biased.

The good news is, you can get a copy of Pete iNova's Nikon e-book or one of the Short Course books and use it in place of the owner's manual. And the 4500 has a number of presets for various types of shots that simplify the process.
