If you did make another SI, in order to make it attractive to include it in your faves, it has to be free or cheap, pay the rent, have info (stock) and attraction -- or differentiation.

I can get marketnews info on demand for 3800 CDN per month. this would make all the stock news available to all subscribers. This you could charge 10 bucks a month for. In addition real time or delayed quotes, available and portfolios. Not hard to do. Posting would be the icing.

Key is lean and mean HTML, "spare" software and page loading. No complex java or eye candy to slow down pages. SI is a pleasing interface and it is quick. Spel cheking and the like are nice. You could have Java spel checking.

SI could have had a segue of an e-bay type service too. Lots of wrinkles here, diffuse the focus, but after all you have to pay the rent somehow.

Raging bull and Stockhouse had bad interfaces. Slow, busy pages, micro fonts, Written for IE,etc.. bad software, bad interface..

You cannot have any rules except to step on excessive spam. All the successful sites of the past, the well, SI, etc .. had very few rules, very little policing, and lots of customer driven hubbub. You wonder how a group like Stock Club can survive. The place is dead as a doornail. What sells is sex and death. Got to figure a way to add that. We could kill a member once a week, by lottery, and have porn. Well, you gotta pay the rent.
