Like Saint John told us:

- God is a concept by which we measure our pain.

Take care.

Whether all that confrontation happened before or after the US came into existence is apparently quite irrelevant.

The fact is that the U.S. is by and large a Western and Christian country, and the folks that populate N. America mostly came from Christian Europe. (Minorities like the Moslems came much later.) And, needless to say, Christianity has strong links with Judaism at the outset.

Is it any wonder then, that the Moslem weltenschauung or, rather the Moslem psyche, tends to look askance at the partiality of the U.S. for Israel.

To many Moslems in the Middle East and elsewhere, the U.S. is working in cahoots with the Israelis (read Jews!) much to the detriment of the Arabs. To be sure, all their suspicion and disapproval hearken back to their confrontations in times past. Pent-up emotions of anger and hatred and frustration etc. transcend centuries to find manifestation in mutually destructive confrontations in the present.
