Hi CobaltBlue; Re: "Oh, crap. I was here, Carl. We weren't "in tatters." There were a lot of sore feelings all over the place, but that's what America is all about."

I was there too, and my youth was spent in the smell of tear gas. People I knew owned machine guns in wait for the unrest that they expected to break out. Unarmed youth were shot dead in the street. The dollar was destroyed, we went off the Gold standard, and our silver pocket change was replaced with fake silver. We had inflation that was never before seen in this country during peacetime. We had 20,000 draft dodgers and 12,000 military deserters flee to Canada, many permanently. We took the equivalent of 20 WTC disasters in Vietnam deaths, with far more maimed.

I mean Jesus Weeps, how bad does it have to get before you call it "tatters"? Would you prefer if I refer to Vietnam as "an unfortunate incident"? (LOL)
