Are you suggesting we're going to outdo the Great Depression here?

"Our current market bubble is history's greatest without a doubt as it involves many different sectors."

Excellent post there Velo, and as I had briefly eluded to, the pending credit crunch and property market bubble will be the final death blow as the final stalwart safe havens get wiped out.

The truth is, we have never had a bubble of this size, shape or form before, therefore we are only left to speculate on it's likely outcome. Most of the bubble cases I mentioned or have studied (Tulips, Coins) where "fads" and affected only pockets of people. The bubble we are dealing with here is a HELL OF A LOT more serious as there are infinitely more players....

I may seem overly pessimistic in my long term views, but I believe that that is the best way to guard myself from the upcoming eye of the storm ..... the old saying "Everything is going to be alright" died with my subscription to CNBC.

The art market

art market is no where near a bubble. Since I am an art dealer the market now is nowhere like the late 80's
